The University Archives are open to all interested persons for academic and private research.

Please note that the use of archival records is subject to legal protection periods (see Archives Act State Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Moreover, only indexed holdings can be used.
You may take photographs of archival records for personal use, if conservation and/or legal concerns do not prevent this. However, you may not publish or distribute these photos.
To search for biographical information on Rostock University professors, you can use the Catalogus Professorum Rostochiensium.
To search the student registry, you can use the Matrikelportal.
