E-Journals/ Print Journals
You can use both Discovery and the Catalogue to find journals and e-journals owned by Rostock University Library.
Below we explain how to use Discovery to find e-journals and how to navigate to the publisher's website, where you can read the journal.
We also show you how to use Discovery to search for printed journals and how to find their location in the library.

In case the Library does not have the journal you are looking for, you can order articles from the journal via interlibrary loan.
Searching for e-journals using Discovery and finding the publisher's web page
Searching
Enter the search term in the search bar.
Filtering
Filter by clicking on "elektronic" and choose the format "Journal". The first item on the results page is the electronic version of the journal. Clicking on it opens the title page.

This page contains information about the e-journal. The blue-box link "Online Elektr. Zeitschriftenbibliothek" takes you to the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
EZB entry
The title page in EZB shows, via colour-coding, whether Rostock University Library has access to the e-journal. In this example, the journal is "yellow" – therefore, licensed. Click on "To the fulltexts" to navigate to the publisher's web page.
Publisher's page
On the publisher's page, you have access to the journal's archive and full-text articles.
Finding a print journal and its location using Discovery
Searching
Enter your search term in the search bar.
Filtering
Filter by type "Print" and format "Journal". The first result shown is the printed version of the journal. Click on it to open the title page.

The title page shows that the journal is located at Campus Library Südstadt, under Shelf mark ZA 16524. Click on the blue box beneath "Items" to see information about the library.
Library Information
"Location" explains that the journal is in the compact shelving-2 on the second floor of the Campus Library Südstadt "(Campusbibliothek Südstadt: Freihand-Kompaktmagazin 2). Click on "Show Location of medium" to view the journal's physical location.
Physical location
The map shows that the journal is located on the second floor, on the shelves numbered 273-276.
