Below we explain how to use Discovery to find e-journals and how to navigate to the publisher's website, where you can read the journal.
We also show you how to use Discovery to search for printed journlas and how to find their location in the library.

In case the Library does not have the journal you are looking for, you can order articles from the journal via interlibrary loan.
Enter the search term in the search bar.
Filter by clicking on "elektronic" and choose the format "Journal". The first item on the results page is the electronic version of the journal. Clicking on it opens the title page.
This page contains information about the e-journal. The blue-box link "Online Elektr. Zeitschriftenbibliothek" takes you to the Electronic Journals Library (EZB).
The title page in EZB shows, via colour-coding, whether Rostock University Library has access to the e-journal. In this example, the journal is "yellow" – therefore, licensed. Click on "To the fulltexts" to navigate to the publisher's web page.
On the publisher's page, you have access to the journal's archive and full-text articles.
Enter your search term in the search bar.
Filter by type "print" and format "journal". The first result shown is the printed version of the journal. Click on it to open the title page.
The title page shows that the journal is located at Campus Library Südstadt, under shelf mark ZG 3504. Click on the blue box beneath "Exemplars" to see information about the library.
"Show Location of medium" explains that the journal is in the closed stacks of the Campus Library Südstadt (Campusbibliothek Südstadt: Magazin). If you want to read the journal you have to ask the staff at the information desk.
