Linguistics and Literary Studies Library
The Linguistics and Literary Studies Library is part of the Campus Library Innenstadt. It collects the subjects English, German, Romance Studies, Slavic Studies, and general and comparative linguistics and literature. There is a variety of study facilities on the upper floor, such as a PC pool, several group study rooms and individual workspaces.

The library offers 12 PC workspaces: 10 workspaces are located in the PC Pool on the first floor, and 2 more can be found near the circulation desk on the ground floor. How to log in. Find a workspace
Group Study Rooms
You can study in groups in room 107, as well as in the ground floor lobby.
The reading room, consisting of 17 workspaces, is located on the ground floor.
There are 26 lockers, located near the entrance, for locking away your personal belongings while you are in the library. You must present your library card to obtain a locker key at the circulation desk. The key must be returned on the same day, as lockers are emptied daily.
The circulation desk can lend you USB devices for a few hours.
Play and Study Area
Room 112 has been converted into a Play and Study area, called KESS (Kinder-, Eltern-, Spiel- und Studierzimmer). It contains a workspace in addition to a learning and playing area for children up the age of 12. There is also a baby changing facility. It is open to all members of the University and their children. The room is open during the library's opening hours.
Lost and Found
Lost and found property is kept at the circulation desk for a few days before being handed over to the University's caretaker.
Ear Plug Dispenser
An ear plug dispenser is located near the entrance.
The ground floor of this library is wheelchair accessible; however, the upper floors are not. A member of staff will gather your items for you.
Copy, scan and print
The library has two black and white copiers and a coin-operated copier. The latter only accepts the correct amount of money and is not connected to the server. Therefore, you can only use this machine to copy, not to print. Instructions on how to activate a copy card for students and Rostock University staff
There are 2 book scanners, located on the ground floor. The scanners may be used without registration – you only need a USB device for saving your scanned documents.
