History
The History collection is shelved according to the Regensburg Classification System under shelf mark N (GDR history also under shelf mark M).
The majority of the collection is housed on floors three to six (rooms 3018 to 6026).

The Classical Philology collection is shelved according to the Regensburg Classification System under shelf mark F.

The majority of the collection is housed on floor seven.
The Art History collection is shelved according to the Regensburg Classification System. Printed items can be found under shelf marks LD, LH - LO on the seventh floor.
A large part of the Fine Arts collection is in closed stacks. You can use Discovery or the Catalogue to request these items.
Teaching Library
The Teaching Library was established at Rostock University Library on behalf of the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. It collects teaching materials to prepare lessons and all state-approved textbooks. The textbooks and materials are collected by subject in the appropriate libraries.
In rooms 1023 and 1029 of the Education and History Library, teaching materials for the following school subjects are available: Art, Danish, English, French, German, Greek, History, Latin, Norwegian, Philosophy, Polish, Religion, Russian, Social Studies, Spanish, and Swedish.
