Education, History and Antiquity Library
The Education, History, and Antiquity Library is part of the Campus Library Innenstadt. The library is located on floors 1 to 7 of the building. It houses the subjects Archaeology and Classical Philology, Education, Teacher Training, History, Media Research, Ethnology, and Psychology. The library predominantly offers individual workspaces for reading and studying.

History
The History collection is shelved according to the Regensburg Classification System under shelf mark N (GDR history also under shelf mark M).
The majority of the collection is housed on floors three to six (rooms 3018 to 6026).

The majority of the collection is housed on floor seven.
The Art History collection is shelved according to the Regensburg Classification System. Printed items can be found under shelf marks LD, LH - LO on the seventh floor.
A large part of the Fine Arts collection is in closed stacks. You can use Discovery or the Catalogue to request these items.
Teaching Library
The Teaching Library was established at Rostock University Library on behalf of the state of Mecklenburg-West Pomerania. It collects teaching materials to prepare lessons and all state-approved textbooks. The textbooks and materials are collected by subject in the appropriate libraries.
In rooms 1023 and 1029 of the Education and History Library, teaching materials for the following school subjects are available: Art, Danish, English, French, German, Greek, History, Latin, Norwegian, Philosophy, Polish, Religion, Russian, Social Studies, Spanish, and Swedish.

A course reserve is a collection of literature that is deemed so important for a class that it needs to be constantly available to all students of that class. The books do not circulate for the duration of the term. Liste aller Semesterapparate
Media Research course reserves are located in room 1030
Pedagogy course reserves are located on the second floor, room 2028
The course reserves for History and Ancient History are located on the fourth floor, in room 4028.
The course reserves for Classical Philology and Classical Archaeology are located on the sixth floor, in room 6023.

PC Workspaces
The library offers 23 PC workspaces, located on floors 1, 5, 6, and 7. How to log in.
Group Study Rooms
Rooms 2027, 3027, 4023, 5021, 5022 and 6028 are group study rooms.
Features
Lockers
There are 90 lockers, located near the entrance, for locking away your personal belongings while you are in the library. You must present your library card to obtain a locker key at the circulation desk. The key must be returned on the same day, as lockers are emptied daily.
Long-Term Lockers
There are 50 lockers available for long-term use. You may rent one of these for 10, 30 or 60 days (rental fees apply) and store books and learning materials there. Please see Requesting a long-term locker for further information and terms of use.
Lost and Found
Lost and found property is kept at the circulation desk for a few days before being handed over to the University's caretaker.
Equipment Lending
The circulation desk can lend you USB devices and extension cables for the duration of your stay in the library.
Break Rooms
A Break Room (1033) is located to the right of the entrance. It contains a snack vending machine and is meant as a space to take a break, eat, and talk. In room 6025 is another Break Room.
Baby Changing Room
There is a baby changing room near the building's entrance.
Ear Plug Dispenser
The ear plug dispenser is located near the entrance.
Accessibility
The Education, History and Antiquity Library building is wheelchair-accessible via an external lift. The other floors of the library can be accessed via lift inside the building. To gain access to the library rooms on the upper floors, please contact a member of staff at the information desk in advance. The library has three self-checkout terminals for borrowing books. Please speak to us, we will be happy to help you. There is a baby changing facility in the disabled toilet near the building entrance.
Copy, scan and print
Topping up your copy card credit
You can recharge your copy card using the charging unit near the entrance. The minimum recharge amount for the card is 5 Euros.
Copiers
You can find black and white copiers in Room 1030, as well as on floors 2-6. Room 1030 addictionally contains a colour copier. There is a coin-operated copier on the third floor, which only accepts the correct amount of money and is not connected to the server. Therefore, you can only use this machine to copy, not to print. Obtaining a copy card
Readers who are not members of the University, can buy a copy card using the vending machine in room 1018, near the entrance. The minimum credit amount is 10 Euros. The minimum recharge amount for the card is 5 Euros. The card can be used to make copies and to print from USB devices.
Book scanners
There are 5 book scanners, located on the third (2x), fourth, fifth and seventh floor (rooms 3027 (2x), 4025, 5031 und 7023 respectively). The scanners may be used without registration – you only need a USB device for saving your scanned documents.
