Reference management

Rostock University Library regularly offers general introductory courses for the reference management programmes Citavi, EndNote and Zotero. These 90-minute courses, which include a practical component, usually take place once a month - unless otherwise noted - in the PC pool of the Campus Library Südstadt, and are open to everyone.

Publishing a thesis

You can publish your final thesis, such as Bachelor's, Master's or state examination, on our document server. The publications are archived permanently, receive a permanent address (DOI, PURL), are searchable worldwide, and can be cited.

Open Access Publishing

Open Access publications are accessible to everyone on the internet without restriction and at no cost. Open Access makes scientific information and knowledge accessible and usable without barriers. In December 2015, the University of Rostock published its Open Access Declaration to promote free access to academic knowledge. Since 2017, the University of Rostock has been expanding its support for Open Access, e.g. for journal articles, books or journals published at the University of Rostock and through contracts with publishers. Rostock University Library has many years of experience in the implementation of digitisation projects of various types and sizes. On request, we can support your projects with advice and project preparation as well as the provision of infrastructure and expertise. The University Library also participates in various projects as a co-operating partner or co-applicant.
