The Campus Library Südstadt was opened in 2004. It houses the subjects Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Engineering and Computer Sciences, Mathematics and Natural Sciences, Medicine/ Life Sciences, Economics, Social Sciences, Law, Political Sciences, Sports, and the Teacher Training Library for the aforementioned subjects. The library offers a variety of options to work and study in the building.

The university library will remain open to all users until Monday, December 22, 2025. In the new year, the library will open as usual on Sunday, January 3rd, 2026.
