You can publish your research data on the University of Rostock’s RosDok publication server.

Reserve a DOI for data publication in advance

If you would like to reserve a DOI in advance for your data publication on RosDok, please send us an email at forschungsdatenuni-rostockde.

The following information is required for a DOI reservation:

  • Title of the data publication
  • Authors, creators, rights holders (ORCiD or GND ID, if available)
  • Authors’ institutions
  • Is the data publication a standalone publication or a data publication associated with an article?
    • Notes on data publications as standalone publications: The dataset is published independently of a publication and should also be documented independently of a publication.
    • Note regarding data publication for an article: During the peer review process, the data is made available to the reviewers, for example via the University of Rostock’s Unibox. The reference should then include a note stating that the data will be published in the institutional repository upon publication of the article and will then be available under the DOI reserved for you. After the article has been positively reviewed, you should then remove this note and insert the correct reference. At the same time, you should request the relevant details about the article from the journal to include them in the dataset documentation. Only then will the dataset be published simultaneously with the article.
  • Only for article publication – projected date of the article’s publication
  • Information on the size of the data
