The Library Regulations describe the legal status, structure, and scope of responsibilities of the University Library. The Archives Regulations describe the jurisdiction and responsibilities of the University Archives. The Rules of Use set out the library's responsibilities and its terms of use.

The University of Rostock’s General Regulations set out guidelines for university operations. The University Fee Regulations serve as the basis for the collection of administrative fees, user fees, and reimbursements.
