The Centre for Patents and Standards
The Centre for Patents and Standards ('Patent- und Normenzentrum' in German, abbreviated to 'PNZ') provides information and services surrounding industrial property rights, such as patents, utility models, trademarks and designs. We offer research support and workshops to students and researchers at universities in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. As the PNZ is a public facility, our services are also available to SMEs and research facilities, as well as private persons interested in industrial property rights.
Existing standards and guidelines can be viewed free of charge at the Centre's Standards Information Point.

Literature held by the Centre for Patents and Standards - see infographic - can be accessed during the opening hours of the Campus Library Südstadt.
For consultations and to arrange research requests, please make an appointment with us. Read-only access to the Normen-Nautos database is available to external users during the service hours of the Südstadt Campus Library.
If you cannot find us, please contact a member of staff at the information desk on the ground floor. They can help you with general questions.
