The University Library supports parents in balancing work and study with caring for their children. To this end, two KESS (Children, Parents, Play, and Study Area) are available at the Campus Library Südstadt and the Linguistics and Literary Studies Library. The rooms are equipped with toys, children’s books and various activities for children of different age groups. The facilities also include a crib, a high chair, and other practical amenities for caring for and supervising children.
Both KESS rooms are currently being refurbished and refurnished.
In both KESS rooms, the floors are being replaced and the walls repainted. In addition, the rooms are being equipped with new furniture, toys and children’s books so that parents and children can continue to feel completely at home.
Due to the renovation work, the KESS in the Campus Library Südstadt will remain closed until Monday, September 28. The KESS at the Linguistics and Literary Studies Library remains open.
