New datbase  - 05.10.2020

  • JoVE Core: free access to JoVE Core: Chemistry

AAAS: read "Science Signaling" and "Science Translational Medicine" for free until 31.12.2020

Until the end of the year, all members of Rostock University have free access to the following journals published by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). You can access these journals via VPN/ Remote, or directly from within the university network on campus.

1) Science Signaling

2) Science Translational Medicine

CAS SciFinder-n: IP filters temporarily suspended

CAS has temporarily suspended IP filters for the use of Sci-Finder-n for Rostock University. The same applies to SciFinder.

This means that students and researchers with an existing SciFinder or SciFinder-n account can access the databases from home without a VPN connection. New users will have to register on the site through VPN/ Remote Access in order to do the same.

The IP filter suspension is expected to be upheld throughout the Covid-19 crisis.

EBSCO Datenbanken: Business Source Ultimate and Academic Search Ultimate free until 31.07.2020

The databases Business Source Ultimate and Academic Search Ultimate are free to use for members of Rostock University via Remote Access until 31.07.2020.

JoVE Core: free access to JoVE Core: Chemistry

JoVE Core: Chemistry is accessible for free until the end of 2020.

JSTOR: Artstor freely accessible until 31.12.2020

In addition to the expanded access to the journal collections, JSTOR now offers free acccess to Artstor until the end of the year. 
You can access the contents via VPN/ Remote, or from within the campus network.
Artstor is an extensive image resource for educational and scholarly use, bringing together media from world-renowned museums, archives, scholars, and artists. Further information is available here.

JSTOR: expanded set of content free until 31.12.2020

All JSTOR members have expanded access to selected JSTOR journal collections until the end of 2020. You can access the content via VPN/ Remote.
