Extended Library Opening Hours since 20 July

Starting on 20 July 2020, the University Library extended its opening hours at the locations Campus Library Südstadt and Education, History, and Antiquity Library:

• Campus Library Südstadt
Mon: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m., Tue - Fri: 8 a.m. - 10 p.m., Sat: 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. 

• Education, History, and Antiquity Library
Mon: 10 a.m. - 7 p.m., Tue - Fri: 8 a.m. - 7 p.m., Sat: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. 

The other library locations are open as follows:

• Linguistics and Literary Studies Library
Mon: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tue - Fri: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Theology and Philosophy Library
Mon: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., Tue - Fri: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

• Special Collections
Tue - Fri: 9 a.m. - 12 a.m. and 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.

Visiting the Centre for Patents and Standards, the Special Collections, and the University Archive continues to require a prior appointment.

Please continue to be aware of the following:

  • Please have your library card or student ID ready for scanning. Keeping track of visitors will help with contact tracing in case of a Corona outbreak. Your data is safe and will only be used in accordance with data protection laws.
  • The wearing of a simple mask is mandatory when moving around the library. While using a workspace, wearing a mask is voluntary.
  • Taking a basket – available at the entrances – when entering the library remains mandatory.
  • Current hygiene and distancing regulations limit the number of available workspaces.
